# Slack Integration

> Send Great Question activity to a Slack channel so your team stays in the loop on research.

Connect your Slack account to Great Question to monitor research activity in a designated Slack channel. The integration posts notifications for key events so your team stays in the loop without logging in.

## Set up the Slack integration

1. Go to **Settings** — click your name in the top-left corner and select **Settings**.
2. Open **Integrations** from the left-hand menu.
3. Find **Slack** and click **Connect +**.

   </Frame>
4. Sign in to your Slack account when prompted.
5. Review and approve the integration permissions.
6. Choose the channel that should receive notifications from the dropdown.
7. Click **Allow** and use **Send test notification** to confirm the channel is set up correctly.

<Note>
  We recommend choosing a dedicated internal channel. Avoid shared (external) channels, since research activity may include participant details.
</Note>

## What gets sent to Slack

The integration can notify on:

* New scheduled interviews
* Upcoming interview reminders
* Screener, survey, panel, or unmoderated-test responses submitted (this is a single event — the message just varies to describe what kind of study it came from)
* Study closures
* Transcript availability

<Tip>
  You can control which notifications a study sends from that study's settings once it's published, so each study only posts the events you care about. A daily digest option is also available if you'd rather get a rollup instead of real-time posts.
</Tip>

## Slack unfurls

URLs shared in Slack for studies, highlights, insights, and reels include a preview of what they point to. By default, participant PII is hidden from these previews, an admin can turn this on if your workspace wants full detail in the unfurl.
