A UX research calendar, built to streamline research ops

Scheduling is one of the most tedious parts of research operations. Managing multiple calendars, preventing double bookings, and ensuring your customers can see and book in convenient slots are specific to being a researcher. Plus, you need to provide an excellent experience for your participants.

Many researchers use tools like Calendly or SavvyCal to share their availability with their participants. But that adds one more tool to the mix. One more tool to pay for, one more tool to train on, and one more tool to grant access to. It works, but it’s definitely not ideal.

It’s not ideal cause those calendar tools weren’t built for researchers in mind. There’s no idea of buffers or rolling studies or even collective bookings. It goes without saying that researchers have special requirements when it comes to scheduling and booking research.

Never mind, even those calendar tools aren’t built for researchers. There’s no idea of buffers or rolling studies or collective bookings. All to say, researchers have special requirements when it comes to scheduling and booking research.

Thankfully, we built a research calendar, just for researchers.

UX Research Calendar

Customers that use our research calendar can:

  • Provide an excellent participant experience
  • Include other team members
  • Launch studies faster than ever before
  • Keep all of their participant data in a single system: from panel management to incentives to a repository, it’s all in Great Question.

Integrated with your existing processes & systems

A calendar is just one part of the overall research process. We built it to be part of a full platform that streamlines every part of the research process, from panel management to scheduling, sending incentives, and sharing insights.

  • Calendars: Our research calendar is integrated with Google and Microsoft O365, so you can rest assured you won’t be double booked.
  • Video integrations: Add a Zoom or Google Meets link that’s automatically included in your participants' booking. You don’t have to follow up with a link; it’s just part of the process.
  • Included in the research platform: Send invites right from Great Question via email or send a landing page link, follow up immediately after the interview with an incentive, and take notes and highlight the transcription all within one platform.

Flexible availability

There are so many ways that researchers need to customize their availability, so we’ve made it easy to make your calendar work for you!

  • Meeting duration: you can set your calendar to accept meetings as short as 15 minutes and as long as 90 minutes.
  • Locations: You can include the Zoom or Google Meets link, or if you can do in-person meetings, you can pick a location and include the address in the calendar invite.
  • Buffers: Doing research calls back to back isn’t sustainable so that you can build in buffers between calls, so you have time to work on notes, etc.
  • Minimum scheduling notices: No one wants to wake up at 7 am to learn they have a research call booked at 7:30 am, so you can make sure you aren’t booked before you are ready.

Involve the team

Hearing from your customers is fantastic and something that should be shared. With these calendar features, you can involve your team in the research process.

  • Observers: You can invite folks to observe meetings, and customers aren’t overwhelmed in a room with multiple people.
  • Collective bookings: If you do want to have multiple people involved in the interview, you can use collective bookings so your participants can only book when everyone is available

Privacy

Our privacy settings help keep researchers' and participants' calendars and email addresses private. So, if an observer is in a meeting, the participant doesn't have to know. And, if something contentious occurs during the session, there’s no way for researchers or participants to follow up with an email after the meeting. This is in addition to our standard privacy settings:

This is just the beginning of our calendar, and we look forward to your feedback. Get started today and let us know what you think of the only calendar built just for researchers.
