The Repository is the central hub in Great Question where all your research data lives. It brings together your Insights, Reels, Highlights, Interviews, Survey results, Synthesis, Tags, and Ask AI in one place. Think of it as your research library, a single place to search, store, and share findings across your team.

Why the Repository matters

Building out a research repository is critical for a few reasons. It democratizes access by making research insights available across your team or organization, and it centralizes findings so you reduce silos and ensure everyone can find and reuse what’s already been learned. It replaces scattered docs and spreadsheets with one searchable source of truth, and it preserves institutional knowledge so research stays accessible beyond a single project or person. Different roles use the Repository in different ways. Researchers upload recordings, tag highlights, and synthesize insights. Product managers browse existing insights before planning a new feature. Executives review reels or summaries to understand customer pain points. Designers search by tag or keyword to find clips that illustrate user behaviors.

Browsing by type

Select a subcategory from the top menu bar to focus on one type of artifact: All, Insights, Reels, Highlights, Interviews, or Survey results. There’s also a dedicated Ask AI tab for querying your repository in natural language, see Ask AI for details. If you’ve navigated into a specific team’s repository, browsing is automatically scoped to that team’s artifacts.

Search and filters

Use filters such as Added by, Date added, Studies, and Tag to narrow what you see. Toggle between All (match every filter) or Any (match any one filter), and search by candidate names, emails, or keywords. Sort results by Recently added, Last updated, or Owner, and switch between grid and list layouts, your preference is remembered per page.

Creating new artifacts

Click New on the main Repository page to create a new Insight or Reel, or to upload recordings and files. Supported file types are MP4, M4V, MOV, MP3, and PDF.
If you’ve integrated Zoom, you can import recordings directly from Zoom instead of downloading and re-uploading them.

Managing artifacts

To share an artifact, copy its link using the chain-link icon. Click any artifact to preview it; Insights and survey results open in full view. To delete an artifact, use the menu, available for Insights, Reels, Highlights, and Interviews. You can also select multiple artifacts with their checkboxes to run bulk actions, the available actions vary by artifact type, and bulk delete isn’t currently supported. Use Export CSV in the header to export the current tab’s list.
