The Great Question widget for FigJam lets you pull your highlights, interviews, and reels directly into a FigJam board, so you can organize, synthesize, and prioritize your research alongside the rest of your team’s work. This is a one-way import, items are pulled into FigJam once, and don’t stay in sync with Great Question afterward.

Add the widget and connect your account

  1. While in your FigJam space, click More in the toolbar.
  2. Search for “Great Question” from the All tab or the Widget tab. The Widget tab can make the result quicker to find.
  3. Click the Great Question widget to add it to your space.
  4. Click Import Data.
  5. If this is your first time using the widget, you’ll be prompted to sign in to Great Question and authorize it.
Be sure to allow popups for FigJam if your browser blocks them. Once you’ve authorized the widget, you can close the opened tab or popup.

Import highlights

  1. Select the study you want to pull from.
  2. You’ll see the number of highlights next to Highlights.
  3. Click Import. Your highlights are added as sticky notes.
Each sticky note is the same color as the highlight’s tag, if one is applied; if there’s no tag, the sticky note is grey. To watch and listen to a highlight, click Play video for a pop-out video player, and close the pop-out when you’re done.
Highlights are imported from your study without their respective groups (the groups shown on the Synthesis page).

Import interviews and reels

The widget also has separate tabs for importing Interviews and Reels from the same study. Interviews bring in the participant name, interview date, and duration; reels bring in the reel’s creator, duration, and clip count. Both include a play button for the video, just like highlights. Every imported card, highlight, interview, or reel, includes a link back to the original item in Great Question, so you can jump straight from FigJam to the source without searching for it.
